Drew Nikonowicz's work explores how technology influences our perception of reality and ourselves. In his practice he uses photography, computer simulations, 3D printing, video games, and more. He has a BFA from the University of Missouri-Columbia (2016) and an MFA from the University of Arkansas (2025).

He has exhibited nationally and internationally. In 2015 he received the Aperture Portfolio Prize and the Lenscratch Student Prize. In 2017 Nikonowicz completed a one-year residency at Fabrica Research Centre. His first photobook This World and Others Like It, was awarded Jurors' Special Mention at Paris Photo in 2019. He was one of 50 artists selected for Silver Eye Center for Photography’s 2022 Silver List, and received the 2026 Windgate Accelerator Grant.

Nikonowicz currently lives and works in northwest Arkansas.
